Mgr. Kateřina Hager

DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER

Katerina is a documentary filmmaker and producer. 

She graduated with a masters degree in Cultural Anthropology from Charles University in Prague and received her formal film training at Prague Film School. In 2012, Katerina founded Bohemian Productions, a production company realizing documentary films and other audiovisual work aimed at the international TV and film market.

Her latest work includes the documentary film CHILDREN ONLINE (2017), TRIBUTE TO MUSIC TEACHERS (2016) and the feature documentary CHILDREN OF FLAMENCO (2013). Her films were screened at many international festivals including CPH:DOX in Denmark, Busan International Kids & Youth Film Festival, South Korea, International Art Film Festival in Montreal etc.

Katerina teaches Visual Anthropology at Charles University in Prague.

Tariq Hager

PRODUCER

Tariq was born in 1971 in Lebanon.  He graduated from Brown University and later studied in the  NYU PhD Cultural Anthropology program.  He is one of the two founders and directors of Prague Film School - www.filmstudies.cz

In 2012 he co-founded Bohemian Productions.

Jeffrey Brown

PRODUCER

Jeffrey has produced a number of award-winning films in Europe, Africa and the USA. His Czech narrative feature Mamas & Papas won Best Film and Best Script at the 2010 Hamptons IFF while Shut Up and Shoot Me, a Czech–British co-production, won Best Narrative Feature at the 2007 AFI Dallas IFF. He executive produced Academy Award-winning Czech director Jan Sverak’s Kooky, Special Jury Prize Winner at the 2010 Karlovy Vary IFF. His documentaries have included: Durban Poison, Punk in Africa, and Pirating Pirates. He co-produced No No: A Dockumentary, which premiered in the US Documentary Competition at Sundance 2014.

Masa Hilcisin

Masa Hilcisin is a documentary filmmaker and producer, lecturer and scholar. She has been involved in a number of cultural and film projects in the region of former Yugoslavia. Her interests include documentary film with emphasis on social issues and different aspects of violation of human rights. Her documentary films have been screened at various film festivals around the world. She holds a Ph.D. in Film Studies and Audiovisual Culture from the Masaryk University and teaches a documentary film production at the Prague Film School.

She is also the Czech Ambassadors of EWA -European Women´s Audovisual Network.

Aleš Hart

Aleš Hart represents one of the Czech Republic´s top new generation cinematographers. He graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. For the last ten years he has been working as a director of photography on many documentaries, short movies and feature films. He also worked as camera operator for Hollywood and Czech films as well as for commercials and various TV shows.

MgA. Jakub Šimůnek

Jakub Šimůnek graduated from FAMU - Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Since then he has been working as a camera operator on many documentaries, short and feature films, several awarded in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has also shot over 30 commercials for companies such as Telecom, Vodafone, ČEZ, KFC and Pisner Urquel.

Šárka Sklenářová

EDITOR

Šárka is one of the most sought after Czech editors. After completing her studies at FAMU (Prague’s Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) and Saint Denis in Paris, she started her career as and an assistant editor on films by Roman Polanski (Oliver Twist), Terry Gilliam (Brothers Grimm) and Andrzej Bartkowiak (Doom) and since then has worked on many documentaries and feature films. She cooperates with several well-known Czech directors and edits only those projects that have a social purpose.
